Micronorma was present at Industrial Technologies Fair in Aarhus, to show and disseminate project IMPALA – “Intelligent Manufacture from Powder by Advanced Laser Assimilation”.
The event was opened to the visitors for 3 days, and is dedicated to R&D European projects and technologies.
Micronorma is Exploitation and Dissemination Manager of the project Impala, participated as SME end user of the LAM (Laser Additive Manufacturing) process developments and was keen to help develop customized solutions during the project execution.
The concept of Intelligent Manufacture from Powder by Advanced Laser Assimilation (IMPALA), is to develop a flexible, efficient and rapid manufacturing process that is powder-based and uses laser technology to produce customized and small-to-medium volume parts, with features as small as 20μm, and to demonstrate these technology in areas like aeronautics, medical implants, automotive and tooling.
The project was executed from 01.09.2008 till 31.08.2012, and the consortium involves 16 participants from 7 different countries. The project has received funding from the European Community´s Seventh framework Programme FP7 2007-2013 under grant agreement CP-TP 214380-2
